Hello my name is Barry Schroeder, the designer of the Burrow Blasting component system in 2007 and of the Varmitgetter all in one system 2004.
I almost purchased Rodex 2002 (Before the partners split up and one of them then started Rodenator.) There are a handful of people in the world who know this technology inside and out as well as how the companies were started. I am one of them and here’s my story:
When I looked at buying Rodex years ago, I always wondered why they were so expensive and I knew I could come up with something not only better, but safer. Then the Varmitgetter was born, remote controlled, hundreds of dollars less than the other products on the market. This blew the lid off the market in the states by making them affordable for everybody.
THE COMPONENT SYSTEM IS THE WAY TO GO WITH LARGER BURROWS
THE GAS LINE IS NEVER IN THE TUNNEL WHEN IT EXPLODES
All in one’s are the wrong device for what you are dealing with (rabbits).
After manufacturing expenses, shipping, VATs,and a FAIR commission to our agents, I don’t make a dime nor do I want to. I’m going to pay these guys back and you can help by getting a warren blasting system for even less than you can buy it online in the USA – that’s why the price is so low UK and will stay that way.
ALL IN ONE UNITS WILL SUSTAIN DAMAGE BEING USED ON LARGER BURROWS
Where these all-in-one devices were developed and tested they were used on gophers, moles, voles, and ground squirrels – not larger burrows. After selling them to people that were dealing with larger animals in 2007. The all-in-one systems were sustaining damage to the applicator. It would be hit by the shock wave. We knew it would be a problem in the future hence why we came up with the component system.
So now we have Varmitgetter UK! It has a heavy duty flex ignitor and a separate gas line that’s never left in the tunnel when it goes off, making it better suited for larger burrows. That’s why we developed this type of applicator which works over and over on all larger burrows.
THE GAS LINE IS NEVER IN A LARGE BURROW WHEN IT EXPLODES.
The all in one system that works great for moles, voles and gopher tunnels that run 6 to 9 inches under the ground will not work on larger burrows. These fit tightly in the tunnel and when back filled with dirt, protects your electronics. The tunnels are destroyed dissipating the shock wave.
VARMITGETTER UK CAN FIX YOUR VARMITGETTER
THE NEW ELECTRONICS ARE BULLET PROOF!!
The component system which is simplified and more suited for larger burrows (such as groundhogs, prairie dogs, rabbits and badgers). We separated the gas line and put the electronics in a heavy duty flex igniter so the ignition end could be put in the tunnel and the electronics could be set outside and off to the side where the shock wave can’t hit the box. Place your sand bags as directed. Stand over the hole and inject the gas, then when done simply pull the gas line out and walk away with gas bar in hand and hit your remote control button and BOOM!
The gas line is never in the tunnel when it goes off. The all in one will give you problems in larger tunnels such as rabbits because they are deeper, there is no roof of the tunnel that will be collapsed, the explosion/shock wave comes back out the entrance pounding whatever device is there. They will go down.
Gas lines should never be left in large burrow when an explosion goes off. We told our reps that for what they were dealing with (rabbits), as I said the all in one works great on the smaller burrows where the cup fits tight in the tunnel, but for larger burrows we recommend the component system.
My goal has always been to get this technology to the everybody without charging a small fortune. I am a farmer and I don’t like to profit from the killing of animals, but after using poisons and chemicals for years, it’s the only way to go.
You can call the manufacturer directly with any questions: 1-208-642-9889 (USA Manufacturer)
All Varmitgetter UK Systems parts are manufactured in the USA and shipped to our workshop in rural Herefordshire and Wales for assembly. This means that we have trained technicians who can carry out servicing (and repairs) here in the UK.
We can also offer advice on the product – backed up by one of the leading figures in this industry.
